Introduction
Today we are talking with Geraldine Moore, from Melbourne. Geraldine is a mother of two boys who were diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in the early 1990s; a time when Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD was not generally understood. For fifteen years, Geraldine worked on the Committee of ACTIVE Inc, a Victorian support association for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder [ADHD]. She has now written the book ADHD Potatoes. The book tells the story of Geraldine's quest to find answers to the puzzling behaviour of her young sons, and to deal with the confusing and often judgemental reactions of others. During the decade of the 90s, her family was one of many Australian families who were trying to understand ADHD against the background of intense professional debate on the subject.
